A great presentation. Thanks for finding and sharing it. I am getting to know my 1st grandchild, too. As far as the Triumph Bonneville, I rode one for a very short time many years ago.

That was a good video. I especially like the end where it shows him enjoying life with his wife and new grandchild. We all have so much to live for.

INCREDIBLE! What an amazingly strong and brave man. By the way, this is the reason my hubby chose RP with a biopsy result of only 1 x 5% core at his particular age at the time (49) with a Gleeson 7, instead of active surveillance. It was the potential for the aggressiveness of the Gleeson 7 to spread, which (for us and in our situation), decided the treatment option for us. My hubby had surgery which (thankfully) showed no local spread unlike this guy (however lymph nodes were not tested, just examined). For many months however, the outcomes of post op PSA were always looming ominously as my hubby prepared mentally for further treatment if needbe, although he had a favourable path report. He didn't need it in the end (so far) as it turned out, but this visual account did indeed bring back strong memories 6071. But such a GREAT ending as you say Dale.... that little kid is soooooo lucky to have a grandad like him.

Happy holidays to all... we are just in and out for a few days then away for about a month now. Our beautiful 10 yr old dog went to doggy heaven just before Christmas, so we need to take a holiday now. ... such a lovely and powerful Utube to see today however - thanks, and happy holidays 6071 and everyone else, especially Billy Boy Mac, and Biker, Swim, David, Barry, Dale, Sephie, Dotting, James C, Alf, Kev (& Angela) and everyone I have missed out.

Just want to add my thanks for posting this link. Although I never had surgery, everything else is so familiar. I, too, look forward to the spring and riding my GoldWing.

DX 6/07 PSA 22 (had been rising steadily) Biopsy revealed total involvement. USC/Norris, Radical. Half life PSA began to fall, incontinent, catheter removed, 40 radiation. Margins were supposed to be clean but one questionable. (still use pads from surgery in 8/07 as of right now). PSA stopped dropping and began to rise to .9 6/08, Lupron, Casodex, 1.1 PSA, monthly rise to 2.2 then change in meds, drop 1.9 (happy day) 10/09 2.2 PSA again, another change in meds to Lupron, Ketoconazole 200x 3 daily, 20 mg hydrocortisone x 2 daily + Lupron. 11/24 PSA 2.1 12/18 PSA 2.3 weekly blood PSA (yesterday, don't know yet) Tried Estrogen and worst experience of my life. off in 7 days as worse than slow death. USC/Norris all the way, but, it's back. Bone and body scan clear (thank you) but it's somewhere. Radical surgery supposedly spared some plumbing but I doubt it. impotent since surgery and utterly no interest whatsoever now. Free testosterone 18 ppm. So, difficulty in talking, and that's what I do for a living. Bench press before 335 x 10. now, can't press once at 125. Very discouraging. Just want my 5 grandkids (all two and under) to remember me. Is it the low testosterone or am I giving up? Sorry to bum anyone out. Wish to God story was happier. Maybe next week.

The message is crystal clear to me. Despite all the trials and tribulations, the many and varied outcomes, and the enduring mental and physical battles we fought, there remains one primary result that makes it all worthwhile, we are still here and enjoying whatever quality of life the cards dealt us which is a step above the alternative.
