Hello friends,
I haven't been logged in for a while, as I've been just chugging along, trying to deal with things like incontinence and ED on my own, with little success.
I have been reading posts almost daily, and am heartened by the support, care and camaraderie that I feel is evident from everyone on the forum.
To update:
Good news - that the fistula (remember that?) seems to have healed. I'm back to eating regular foods, and am catheter-free - all without the dreaded penis farts I was having.
More good news - my last PSA came back 0.03 - so beers are on me, everybody!
Not so good news - I'm still dealing with incontinence and pee pads. I go through about three heavy pads daily. Sometimes I feel like I can hold it, other times I feel like Old Faithful - quite a gusher.
As far as ED, well, I'm not going to worry too much about it until the urinary control comes back. Thank goodness my wife is understanding and patient.
Today I called my uro's office and let them know that it's been about 8 months since DaVinci, and I'm still not dry. They have prescribed imipramine for me, which is an antidepressant, and is also used in pediatrics for bedwetting. Has anyone here ever used this drug for continence? How did it work? Were there any side effects? How long were you on it?, etc.
Once again, this board is on my daily "must read" web sites. Thanks to all for the continuous support.
