Anyone achieved workable erection without injection?

Has any one out there been able to achieve a workable erection without resorting to injections?  I have always had an unnatural fear of needles and cannot even imagine injecting my penis.  I would love to know that not everyone has to resort to this.

Yes, but I am in ultra rare group of no ED post surgery on one set of nerves. From the guys that do inject, it can be a good and painless experience that can give good consitent results.

Runer, Yes I am able to achieve enough to do the job, on medications.  I really dont think it will ever be as good as before, but I am not complaining.  I to did not fancy going the injection way.  How long since your op, perhaps you could post your signature with more info, so as we can see where you are at...............................Cheers Kev

Runer: I started injections (not a big deal at all) but sence that things have started to look up so to speak. I now am getting erections with the pills. I hope I will continue getting better to the point that I don't need the meds. But time will tell.

I'm 18 months out and almost full pre surgery function in the bedroom without meds.

At this time I'm discouraged, my husband so far hates the way the meds make him feel. I keep hoping to get some feed back. Can anyone tell me that once the meds get into your system they will work better, with less side effects. And how much pain is involved with the injection, I've heard from a friend that they are horrible. I'd like more opinions.

In my case the answer is NO.  Pills and pumps did not work.  Caverject and trimix caused too much pain.  However BIMIX injections work every time for me.  The injection is no big deal and I am pleased with the results.  The only problem I foresee is that I am seeing some plaque buildup that migh cause future problems.

Another thing to consider is your age and physical fitness.  I am old, but very fit (a former triathelete).  Despite never having any ED problems before surgery and one nerve spared I have never been able to get a usable erection without shots. (sort of with a pump).

I think age is the big determiner.  If you are younger and in good shape, you have a much better chance of regaining function.

No injections needed. In fact now, no ED drugs needed either...Fully functional...

Yes see stats

No problem achieving an erection, my problems have been:
urine leakage while erect;
poor or non-existent orgasms;
occasional pain after sex (pain located where I think the prostate used to be);
reduction in length;
I also get a big ache in my abdominal muscles every evening when I lie down in bed and find moving while horizontal not very comfortable.

So no ED but not much of a sex life.

I CAN do it without drugs, but they make it a lot more fun, easier and allow me to not think about it at all. Do not fear the injections. The vast majority of guys love them. and no, by all accounts, they do not hurt.
There are new drugs on the horizon - so if the old line does not work, the new ones are MUCH better. They should be along by the end of this year.

Trimix injections work every time for me. I have no problem with injecting myself and have no pain afterwords. I'm also getting enough of a workable erection using the pump and 2 rings.

If you don't want to do injections or the very expensive MUSE or Trimix gel that you insert into your urethra, and the oral ED drugs don't work, then the only other option short of an implant is the pump (VED).

After 100 injections, I noticed a slight curve developing, and that coupled with no great love of needles persuaded me to make do with the pump.

The pump is not for everyone, but I find it gives usable results. There is a learning curve, and I'm still learning. I suggest practise at first with a cheapie, and then if you think it will work for you, upgrade to a more expensive model.
