Thanks, Alf. Despite having not tested the natural flow with the cath blocked off since Monday morning, the whole bladder neck area and surrounding area hurts moderately most of the time. Especially if I am on my feet a lot, like I was today, running errands & shopping, etc. My break continues til next Monday, when my dr wants me to test a single session, to see if any natural healing or soothing has taken place. If not, he said to immediately stop testing till I meet with him again the following week.
BTW, I think this speaks well of my uro/surgeon. On 2/22, I was heavily sedated, so that the doctor could put the scope up me, take a look, and do what they call a Soft Dialation. The procedure had to be aborted about halfway into it, for excessive pain.
Today, I got an update on billing from his office in person, he did not charge anything for the aborted procedure, even though we had to use his "mini" OP room, and all the tools and equip, two nurses, etc. The only thing they charged me for, was $25 for the demoral they injected. The billing manager said that was just the way that doctor was. (Even though it wasn't his fault he had to abort, he did that for my sake). I thought it was pretty decent
