Something is happening! I might be getting continent!

For the past two days, something weird has been happening. At least a dozen times during the day I thought I felt my cell phone vibrate but it was always a false alarm. There was never a call. This morning I was in a restaurant and felt it again but my phone was on the table. As near as I can tell the buzzing was coming from inside my perineum behind the scrotum. It was buzzing at the same frequency as my heart beat and feels kind of nice.
Most of you know I weigh my pads every day and the curve has been moving at a glacial pace downward from 450 ml per day in Nov to 300 ml per day last week. Two days ago it suddenly dropped to 240 and yesterday it was 160!!!. Today I am on track for another 160 or so.
The interesting thing is this buzzing. Could it be a piece of scar tissue lodged in my sphincter?

I have a 40 cm long lighted 4 mm fiberoptic borescope camera that I could use to find out, but I lack the anesthetic, the assistant and the courage. Most importantly, I don't want to mess up anything that might be happening. I am supposed to see the Uro on 4/23 to discuss long range plans for my situation. The timing could not be better.

Has anyone on this site felt a buzzing in your groin before you got dry?

This is the honest truth, and I had almost forgotten about his before you mentioned it, but I can recall feeling the sensation of my cell phone vibrating in my pocket while I was going through continence recovery. I carry my Blackberry around almost constantly in my front pocket, and keep it on vibe. I never mentioned this to anyone before, but I remember—maybe a dozen times—placing my hand on top of the phone while it was in my pocket to verify whether it was ringing (vibrating) or not, and it wasn't. Wierd...

I also keep my phone on vibe only. I thought there was a problem with the phone until I noticed it was not in my pocket. I think something is happening! It feels just like the phone.

You know me. I really do have that scope but not the other three essential ingredients mentioned above. I won't touch this. That said, I did use the scope to look at my nasal polyps before my sinus surgery. Disgusting.

Yes I did think of how we were at the tail ends of the gaussian distribution of continence.
I figure if I took 70 um of your plugging and gave you 70um of my leaking, we'd both be very happy campers.

I think some flap of tissue is acting like a reed and is blocking the hole. I just hope it stays there. This is great! I am letting my bladder stretch. For the past hour I have had the urge to pee but resisted.

But I would suggest you hedge your bets: sell naked puts on Kim-Clark. If it gets put to you, then sell covered calls.

I did a lot of that in my younger days so I could pay for my RP.

Be very careful here. You know this can really be a traumatic event. They say retirement is a traumatic event due to a sudden huge amount of time that has to be filled. Ditto in your case. I mean, all that time spent weighing pads. Think carefully. How will you spend that time? Well, maybe a vacation will consume part of that time.

I write this with my tongue firmly planted in my cheek. But, you all know me by now - I just had to do the math.

I plotted all my data using raw, 2 day running average, and three day running averages. I also included a linear forecasting and a 3rd order polynomial trend line.

The results are in. My predicted dry date is 9/21/2010! Only 5 months from now (14 months post surgery). Not the year 2015 (or never) which it had been only 3 weeks ago. I wish I could fast forward...

That would explain a lot. I had some trouble explaining the buzzing if it was only due to "reed action". That would require flow. But several times, my pad was dry after the buzzing so I knew there had to be another explanation. I wonder if mild TENS stimulation at this point would be useful. I have not touched the unit in 6 months. It might be worth a try.
Maybe this will work for ED too.

Is this how Edwin Hubble felt when he discovered that the Andromeda Nebula was actually another galaxy?

I am still leaking at 200ml. That is a lot, but much better than before. Remeber, Tallman started his journey when he was at 219 ml.
I will remain hopeful. This begs the question, what do I tell the Uro on 4/23? Do I wait another 3 months? Maybe I will as I now see some progress.
Either way I'm still going to bet against Kimberly Clarke.
