When I was in my '20's and 30's, I ran (including a marathon in 1985, one of the stupidest things I ever did - humans aren't built to run that far). Eventually I injured my knee, and I turned to the stationary bike, 3-4 times a week, 45 minutes per session, hard exercise. Kept that up until my PC operation (rode for the last time two days before surgery).
I never went back to the bike - now I just walk when I can (the pressures of trying to keep my job during this Great Recession mean I often don't get home until late at night).
I miss the bike and being in shape, and I know it's stupid, but I just can't get back on. When I used to get off, my legs would be wobbly for a few seconds and my crotch area would be numb for a few minutes. I realize that there is absolutely no scientific evidence to support this, but I still wonder if all that pressure on that area for all those years caused/exacerbated my PC.
Anyway, thanks for letting me get that off my chest.
