the upgrade, but that's nothing really dramatic. PSA tests stay with us the rest of our lives, I'm sorry to report....
Since there is no predicting what will occur down the road, we will need to be tested regularly. Most of us are tested each 3 or 6 months for the first couple years, then usually go to a 6 or 12 month schedule for a few years, the further out you go with no raised PSA, the less testing is needed, but there is still a need for regular yearly testing for the rest of your life. Oh, another surprise, most doctors will still do a DRE each visit....
Why? to feel for regrowth, abnormal growth and other things/changes that may occur in that area.
