he chose HIFU

After asking you all what to do for my husband's cancer, he chose HIFU, he said he was way too afraid of the other options (probably from reading here).

The treatment was so easy, we just went to the hospital and he was put to sleep and I waited with the other women in the waiting room.  He returned with a tube coming out of his belly and we returned to our hotel.  We walked downtown for dinner and I was so relieved,  he was a little groggy from being out to sleep but he had no pain.

He (we) were so happy when he peed while clamping off the catheter, as he was in control, he had no side effects other than a bit of "referred" pain at the tip of his penis, but that's gone.

His catheter has been removed now, so it's all over.  I thoroughly recommend anyone with low scores look into this ultra sound treatment.  I understand they are now treating men with light waves !  It's a brave new world, however, my husband would say he was chicken, thats why he took the pay now approach.

Our doctor was Steve Scionti, we love him!   a wonderful friendly guy.  There was another doctor treating with HIFU as well, can't remember his name.

The hospital in Puerto Vallarta was perfect, very small, couldn't have been cleaner or better, there were alot of men in International HIFU coats.

There were a couple doctors there to learn HIFU, in anticaption of HIFU being approved.   It's such a shame it isn't available in the states yet.  I hope that I can help someone find HIFU, we are so happy!  I know, I know, now the waiting continues.

3 cores of 12 had cancer, 2 were 5%, 1 was 10%

He is 64, but I don't think age matters as the nurse told us that men as low as 38 and as old as 84 have been treated with HIFU.
