Hi everyone. I dont have any new news to report. I am feeling good and doing well. I signed up to run the hood to coast 192 mile relay race in august 2011. I will be running leg 12 which means I will be the runner from our team doing the last stretch to the finish line. I am so looking forward to it. Dale if you get a chance please give me a call. I went waterskiing with my cell phone and lost your number.

Hi Todd,

I always love to hear good news from you and I am so glad that you decided to do the race. If my math is correct, you'll be running 16 miles-Wow! Keep us up to date on your training-you really inspire us all to live life to the fullest every day.

Most of those who live back east haven't discovered that the Pacific Northwest really is paradise. Plus most of that race is downhill, isn't it? Good luck!

The race is composed of 36 separate legs that vary in length and difficulty. Legs 1-12 are for the most part down hill. Leg 1 is a 12% downgrade and I ran it 15 years ago at a 4 and 1/2 minute pace. I hurt real bad after that. legs 13-24 follow the columbia and wind up country roads to the coast range. legs 25-36 go over and down the coast range with a 6 mile finale down the coast line to end on the beach. I wont be nearly as fast as I use to be. I once paced alberto salizar for two miles at a local 10k. If I can average 7.5 per mile I will feel good about it. Todd

I will be wearing my relay for life survivor t shirt a blue wrist band and an us too ball cap if tony crispino will provide me with one. It really is paradise here.

Todd, the seeds are sown and your the man with a plan so enjoy to the fullest. And remember that old saying, " A mountain runner never looks up, and a mountain climber never looks down." Keep us posted.
