Fairwind, surely you jest. Scans are here to stay, have been used for at least a year. It's all just sensationalism. When you goit underwear and shoe bombers, and lord knows what other bimbers out there, scan me or pat me, as long as you do it to everyone. Worst case is they will frost the images of the small postop penis.

Casey. I was about to post the same topic. A visit to Washington DC and walk in the granite memorials will also give you more radiation than an x-ray. We have had CT scans which give more radiation than a 100 x-rays.

I could also say I felt like I was raped during my colonoscpy or biopsies. Really. If we want to travel on a plane, just suck it up. It reeally is not that bad.

I do understand the article. 

My point is, based on the amount of radiation I have had from CT scans, x-rays, dental work, etc, and on top of the fact that just flying in the air, or visiting the Lincoln Memorial, I still say that for the average guy who flies a couple of times a year, and maybe gets scanned once out of the four passes through the TSA, that it is still insignificant. 

Most of the flap is about rough pat downs, or someone seeing a profile of the genitals, not about radiation.
