Over the last couple of months my psa level has stabilized
from 100 at july 5th to 116 at november 8th.
During this period I have tried Prostasol and ProstaNat with no
response to psa level at all.
Then I started with Estracyt@Pfizer 140 mg, two or sometimes three daily.
My psa level december 13th has dropped to 6.7.
Am on my own on this experiment as Estracyt is not on the
official prescription list in my country, I had to order it from Spain.

Dr. Leibowitz, California, is using Emcyt with Ketoconazole, are there others
out here with similar experience?

I intend to continue with one a day of Estracyt for the next month,
then switch to Estradiol patches.

Treatment offered me by the local hospital is bilateral orchiectomy, which
I have refused.

I cannot tell if your entire treatment history is the last two years and the hormone drugs. In any case, I think that some combination of sequence of estrogen (any form) plus ketoconazole is reasonable for your situation. It is suggested by some flexible thinking doctors here in the US. This includes Dr. Charles Myers. I wish you the best with your regimen.

An update to my previous post regarding Estracyt:

Got further results from my blood test which shows:
- blood platelets count reduced from 160 before taking
Estracyt to 121 after ,thus indicating that taking Estracyt/Emcyt
affects blood production in the bone marrow .
Normal values are in the 145-350 range.
So guess I'll have to stop taking Estracyt and proceed
with Estradiol patches.

Good news however was that free psa was 19 percent.

The patches can be fine as long as you have your estradiol checked regularly. I see other men who say that fluctuations are common and a regular stable level of estradiol with testosterone suppression cannot be guaranteed without testing to confirm. Also the patches may not adhere correctly, the number and location of the patches can be rotated. Some have mentioned placing patches on the scrotum for best results. This is all hearsay and anecdotal. Dr. Premoli in Argentina is quite experienced with this type of therapy and you can do a search for his name and the relevant disease terms and find some information.

You can search for a paper by Dr. Premoli and there are two versions; one in Spanish and one in English, both pdf file.

Dr. Charles Myers here in the US uses estrogen, ketoconazole and Leukine injections (sagramostim) in men with advanced and resistant cases with much success.
