Dave,

I was out cold long before they got me to the OR, so have no clue what was there -

Drink lots of water and get some movement in while you have the catheter. I could not have walked much (weather was miserable), but did pace the floor a bit at regular intervals. The big thing is pushing water through the system. It helps avoid urinary tract infections.

We'll be here waiting for your arrival on the other side!

Flash update.....

I arrive at 6am for the op, meet 30+ nurses, do all thee stuff that needs to be done, and they discover my aching testicle is infected, as is my prostate, so no operation today for me.

Oh well, but I get to celebrate New Years sans catheter!

Darn, Dave, sorry to hear about the infections, I suppose you are disappointed after getting all psyched up for it. Hope you can regain momentum, after the infections are gone, . Good luck...

Wow - that really must have been a downer - I have grown to believe that everything happens for a  reason even though most time we have no clue what the reason is - so I guess there was a reason why today was not the day for you -

A co worker of mine actually was all preped and then they couldnt get the robot to work so he had to come back the following week.  Everything worked fine the next week

It's a darn good thing they discovered this it could have been disastrous!! Lucky they found it unlucky you have to put it off, waiting sucks  .
