I can't visit you. And frankly I'm not sure it'd help. I sometimes find that having visitors can make me feel worse, as it takes a lot more out of me than it used to, and the last thing I'd want to do is tire you.
A "Man Hug" is not a good idea with your external plumbing and my aching scars.
Flowers don't seem appropriate, even if my mum always said "send flowers to the living" and in Holland it's quite normal to give a guy a bunch of flowers.
Drinking wouldn't be good for either of us. I have to walk past far too many bottles of Dutch, Belgian and German beers every day at the grocery store when I am buying all my healthy fruit and veg.
There are almost as many shades of choclate too, but binging out on chocolate could be a disaster too.
I make a mean Brownie, but without enough people to share in the eating they add pounds to the waistline in seconds.
But, if you want to have a cup of (decaff) coffee or a mug of (green) tea perhaps I can suggest an appropriate cake to go with it. It may be well known on your side of the Atlantic but I only discovered it today. Here's the recipe:
