My experiences may be of interest. I live near Seattle.
I am 83. I have marginal Type 2 Diabetes. Have I prostate cancer? Probably, most older men do. Should I therefore consider a prostatectomy? My researches indicate that this usually results in incontinence and impotence. So no prostatectomy for me! No PSA either.
When I had some difficulty with ED, I found Viagra to be of some value, but frequently not enough. Cialis seems useless. Levitra worked wonderfully the first time I used it; thereafter it was totally useless.
There is a medical group that advertises in our local newspaper that it can help with ED. It also has offices around the U.S. I am afraid to give their name! I went there and they gave me an injection that caused a powerful erection. They wanted me go to them regularly at considerable cost. They did not want to give me a prescription for the medication they used. Be careful!
I then went to a urologist at UW, the University of Washington. They are reliable, but are not unique. You will find good urologists everywhere.
The upshot is that one can have an injection of Caverject in the penis before intercourse, and it works well. However, I dislike needles put into any part of me by myself or others.
The solution I found was to use the same medication injected without a needle into the penis from the front - it is called Muse. It gives me a really powerful erection in 30-45 minutes, maybe sooner. One can then engage in foreplay, and "go in" 60 minutes after injecting it.
Warnings are given that if the erection lasts over 4 hours, one should get immediate help to avoid damage. In my case, the erection subsides in 2-3 hours.
I would be interested in comments.
