Question for corvetteman (jeff)?

      I had robotic prostatectomy in NOLA almost 3 years ago but live in Baton Rouge, LA. I know you live near BR. Could you please tell me who your urologist is because I want to find a local guy, no point in going to NO anymore. I just need local guy for yearly psa and prescription for trimix. Trimix works well for me and i can't afford caverject, you mentioned somewhere back that you've tried them all. Some doctors won't prescribe trimix/bimix so if you know somebody who will in BR area I'd appreciate it, I don't fell like hunting for a urologist. I know they don't like us giving out our doctors' names here, maybe you could tell me how I could email you for the info, thanks a lot..........

This is a small, small world. Your urologist was my urologist for 17 years. He was the one that discovered my cancer. I didn't have him do the surgery because everytime I went to see him it was like a cattle call at his office. It didn't matter what time my appointment was he would always show up at 1100 and run about 50 of us guys through the psa/dre mill in 2 hours. I was afraid with the surgery that he wouldn't take the time to save my nerves. That's why I went to NOLA for the robot at Ochsner. Almost 3 years later though I still use trimix so I guess it didn't do me any good - same outcome. The other doctor you mentioned was one I had heard about from some other guys, I'll definately be going to see him. Thanks for the info, now I know where I can go

mspt98, Just letting you know that Ron is in the area as well. I sure hope you get a chance to visit with us at the GFMPH on April 15-17.

When you make you trip to the new Dr. let me know what you think. I have not made my appointment with him as of yet.

Welcome tigerfan.  Shoot me an e-mail.  If you click on my name you will see my e-mail address.  Now to answer What is GFMPH.  That stands for Good For Mens Prostate Health.  We can use that to convince our singif. other that we need this or that because it is GFMPH.  Worried Guy came up with that a couple of years ago.  Then in Sept each year he invites guys from HW to his house for a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  It is an opportunity for the guys here to get to know each other face to face.

Last September I flew in to Rochester for Worried Guy's GFMPH.  On the Saturday night the guys asked if they could have a gathering at my house and I was thrilled and accepted the challange.  If you do a search for GFMPH you will see a list of the guys that are headed to Louisiana on April 15, 16, and 17.    I have communicated will all the guy here on HW and many of them on the phone. 

As you probably know these guys are just great support and have become friends.  I am excited about seeing the guys that I have met before again and really excited about meeting the guys that I have never had the chance to shake hands with.

Tigerfan feel free to join us.  We will have lots of food and drink.  I want to teach these guys how cajuns love to party.

Hi Neil, Good to see a post from you. I tell you I am hoping that the crawfish will come down a bit. Would love to cook them up a pot of crawfish. If they are still out the room I guess we will do a fish fry.

Those are already cooked. My plans are for us to do a boil in my back yard. For those that do not want to try them I will fix other foods.

Thanks for the link Bronson. The sad thing about all of this is I can't eat crawfish. (alergic to them) But I love them. :(
