I would like to exchange information about techniques to solve erectile dysfunction.

First, let me say that for me, at 84, Viagra helped, but not enough.

Cialis didn't help at all.

Levitra worked wonderfully but only once.

Eventually, I didcovered Muse which is entered into the penis by means of a small injector.  No needle, as such.  It mostly gave great erections which took effect in 30-45 minutes, and lasted over 2-3 hours.  One is supposed to get medical help if the erection lasts over 4 hours.

What is wrong with it?  Twice, it caysed bleeding, and was ineffective.  I would like to ask whether anyone else encountered this, and how to avoid it.

I tried the MUSE... Not for me is all I can say. It burned and hurt with no positive results. Quickly moved on the injections. :)

One thing to add about levitra -- needs to be taken on an empty stomach. I was having very mixed results until I followed this rule. Best is 2 hours before or after meals.

Cajun Jeff: I have avoided injections because of fear of sticking a needle in myself. Doesn't it hurt?

Muse has been great except for two occasions when I caused bleeding.

Also, there seems to be doubt about taking it on a trip. Is it VERY temperature sensitive? Caverject too?

I just started using the vacum pump. Best thing since puberty.

about the vacuum pump - I got one. It is a transparent tube with a suction pump. You squeeze the ball and it sucks the penis into it. Then you let the vacuum release.

Is that the type of thing we are talking about? It didn't do a thing for me. The erection went soft at once.

Muse has been marvelous, except that I twice suffered from slight bleeding, presumably caused by having the thing stuck into the penis penetrate the wall of the urethra. I suspect I should have a slight erection before using it to make the penis straight. Comment?

GKM,

I alternate between MUSE and Trimix injections.

One thing my Uro showed me when inserting the MUSE applicator is
to rock it back and forth a little as you go in to avoid stiction to any particular area. Same thing after pressing the button .. gently rock back and forth to make sure the little pellet remains behind and not drawn out again with the applicator. I also saliva up the applicator to make it slipperier -- maybe not the most sanitary way but so far so good after years of doing.

Currently the MUSE gives a little more ache than the Trimix (which is negligible ache). And Currently the MUSE lasts 2-3 hours at least like you said (and so does the Trimix). Plus some additional time of pretty good stuff even after that but not dangerous hardness or anything like that.

So as mentioned by others you just have to be careful with the applicator -- certainly could scrape something if not careful.

about transporting MUSE on a trip. Well, if you have the cold packs that come with the cool-pack shipping box when you get your MUSE delivered by mail (man that is the best way to get that darned stuff -- no trips to Pharmacy and them messing up the order all the time) you could probably keep things cool for days. But really you only have to keep it cool til you get to a fridge or a bag-of-ice. And it just needs to be cool not frozen. Just needs some planning. If you are talking about a plane trip ( or cruise?) I suppose that might need some extra thought and care about how to pack it -- carry on bag?( hah!) or packed away in luggage?

You have to put a band on Mr. Willie before you release the pressure.

GKMCA I can honestly say there is little not no pain with the injections. I use a 31 g needls which is very thin.

I would like to suggest that you visit Franktalk.org that site deals specificly with ED. Lots of great info for you.

Steve2011, franktalk.org is not a pharmacies site it is a forum board like HW except it deals only with ED.

One of our members on HW is the owner of the borad. All I am saying is check it out.

Thanks, GKM. Now that I looked at that LA Times article it answers some questions I have had about a clinic in PA that is advertising in my area. http://pamensclinic.com/index.html They make it sound almost too good to be true. You know what they say about that.

I've been taking both Cialis and MUSE since my surgery and have had no negative side effects.  Taking MUSE has resulted in erections good enough for sex.  The bleeding you may have experienced was probably caused by an uncareful insertion of the tip of the applicator.  Have you spoken with your Urologist about the negatives?

I am 4 months post op and on 5 mg of Cialis which isn't really doing anything but is recommended by my doc for penile tissue rehab.

I tried a gel muse-like tri-mix that was inserted through the urethra from a compounding pharmacy that didn't really work and the PGE caused too much burning to be comfortable.

I have also used a VED and rings to get acceptable hardness that my wife and I managed to use successfully. Her complaints were the coldness and size? smilewinkgrin Yep, I guess she was happy with the OEM since the VED tends to swell the girth over factory dimensions.

For the past few weeks I have also been using the bi-mix injections, starting at .50 and settling on .80. My doc suggested the Cialis and injection combo can also help. The benefit is the coldness is gone since warm blood is flowing in and I'm pretty close to OEM dimensions. Working on that with daily VED exercises.
