My brother just got a second biopsy and he woke up with his underwear fairly bloody. He is concerned because that didn't happen the first time. It has been 8hours and so far he feels the urge to urinate but hasn't been successful. His urn told him not to worry a few hours ago about the blood but the difficulty in being unable to urinate has me a bit concerned. Any ideas? He is already calling his urn back.

he may quickly need a cath to relieve that bladder, even if he's not feeling pain, and would be surprised if he wasnt, you don't want the kidneys to get back up. If he doesnt pee, and he can't get word from his Uro, it might be one of those unpleasant ER cath insertions. I would view this as serious if this isnt relieved quickly

Thanks for the reply. He was able to pee a little bit. He made the mistake in thinking because he had little problems the first time around that it was no big deal. So he went back to work this time in a job that has him on his feet the entire time managing his empoloyees. He is heading hone now and is going to relax and probably get in a tub of hot water. If his condition persists he will go to the ER.

Good deal, I tried the hot tub and hot shower technique a time or two with all my former stricture problems, unfortunatley for me, it never helped. The pain of a fully blocked up bladder is beyond description, you are in the 10 zone the entire time. Hope it works for him

He is fine. Sure did spook him for a bit though.
