Too Many Tornadoes to Count

 As I write this today I am reminded of how blessed I am. I live in North Alabama and our county has just been devistated with killer tornadoes. People all around us are without power, without houses, and without the basic things we all take for granted. My wife and I are safe, warm, and dry. We feel truly blessed today. The pictures on TV don't tell the true stroy, the damage is pretty extensive. We don't have a count yet on how many there were but the warning sirens were going off all day and into the night. Neighboring counties have also been hit, along with the Nuclear Plant in our county. We are hearing that those without power will be without it for days to come. Entire neghborhoods have been destroyed. Hold your loved ones a little closer tonight and remember those who lost loved ones in Alabama, the death toll is over 160.

So glad to hear  you're OK.  The devastation is heartbreaking to see.  Nine people were killed in my sister's county near Chattanooga.  So many lives turned upside down, and the toll of dead and injured just keeps climbing.

Wow , unbelievable, these are life changing events. I have a son in Chapel Hill apparently spared this round , he is fine. This on top another son who lives and works in Tokyo. Didn't hear fro him for 72 hours and know he likes coastal areas, so mind goes crazy. He is fine also. Makes psa anxiety seem insignificant. I lived in OKC for a year so am aware of the horror of tornadoes. Again Grace or luck and who care which eh Lynn?
