I see you used the word "Bookmarking" in that last post. Does that mean that I can bookmark posts myself to help me find them after a few days/weeks, or is bookmarking something that only moderators can do. (I tried looking in forum help but found nothing about bookmarking)

Alf, sure you can bookmark any thread here. Just like you would a regular link. Because the bookmarked link won't contain much info about the subject, I usually will change the title to something more accurate description, such as 'Prostate Cancer Forum For Ladies Only', as above. Works fine with any browser (I use Firefox myself) but IE is fine. I keep a section in my Bookmarks for HW stuff and have dozens of threads marked and kept there, to throw out when someone needs something specific.

That was very kind of you to bring that up, James!  Funny too, because I had a question and went back to the August Surgeries thread.  My answer came from one of the gents that also had his surgery that month.  I cannot believe the things we ladies discuss with some of you guys.

I put this page under "My Favorites."  Is that the same as bookmarking?

Yep, same thing, different name. I keep a folder of HW threads that may be asked about by new people and just give them the link or maybe a bump to the top, if general enough for everyone. Easy to do and anyone can build up a source of past info this way.

I hope the ladies don't leave our group for a ladies only group. THey always add to the discussions in a positive way. However, maybe some may be offended by some of the less than surportive things that sometimes appear here. Us guys, myself included, sometimes get a little "over the top" and don't always come off so well. Anyway, ladies please don't go.

Ladies only? that's not right. This isn't a men only site and besides I think that I could handle myself just fine with a bunch of ladies as PCa may not have made me lady like but it has, shall we say, closed the gap a bit. I am joining some of the lady sites as soon as I can think up the right name to use.

Well, here it is - one year since my husband has had his surgery, and I am still hanging around.  I never did make it to any of the ladies only groups.  Ron still has some issues and we still learn new things from this forum.   James, I am sure there may be some ladies who may want to move on to another group.  When I came here, there were 7 ladies posting regularly and sharing the journey with each other.  Yet, it was easy to share with many of the guys - they seem to geniunely care.

Thanks for this information, but personally speaking, I would rather seek support and information from a first hand source as well as their partners. Both to me are invaluable.

So I'm sorry guys, but I'm sticking to this forum. It provides me with all the help and support I need and then some.
