Hi,
I got my prostate removed through an
open abdominal surgery almost 2 weeks ago, and the catheter has been removed as well as of this past Tuesday. Right after the surgery (when the catheter was still in place), it was mostly the incision wound that was very painful, but upon the removal of catheter I've been having severe pain inside my abdomen. Has anyone ever experienced this? Thanks.

Whenever I see the words "pain" and especially "severe," my first reaction is "call your doctor" or seek other medical assistace. Some pain may be expected, but "severe" pain sounds like something that demands immediate medical attention.

My husband complained of cramps, strong ones. They went away after a few days. Don't hesitate to call the doctor if they get worse.
