The rest of the story:
"Treatment was initiated with bilateral subcapsular orchiectomy and bicalutamide therapy in an effort to create total androgen blockade. After 3 months of follow-up, the serum concentration of PSA was 29 ng/ml."

Don't worry. You are still my hero! When I was first introduced to the beast and found out my PSA was 23, I thought I would be the world record. Then I saw your numbers and your upbeat answers here and you gave me hope.

Thanks Jeff. No worries about the sappy stuff. I been on lupron so long I cry watching all the chick flicks so sappy is my middle name. I am just now starting to feel the effects of having the lupron in my system disapate so I am sure with a little testosterone I will be a hard hearted A-hole in no time. Todd

Hi living 1963,i am inspired by your journey and results after treatment,i wish you the very best of luck for the future.Lets hope that You,i and all others with this desease can look forward to some major treatment advances in the near future.I find my strengh from being positive ,like your good self and the belief that a cure is not a life time away.

As for the emotions attached to ht therapy i found myself sat watching a beatrix potter film one day accompanied by my wife,for no apparent reason i became quite tearfull but when my wife looked at me we just laughed uncontrolably for ages............a little light in a dark place !!!!

And then there are opposite cases where PSA is normal, but the cancer is very advanced. Go and try to figure this monster...

How about the highest psa with prostatitis?
or the highest psa with a noncancerous condition with also a free psa of under 10%

mole-etc. If, as I suspect you are a current member and using this name for fun, I'd ask that you don't dispense any info, advice, etc. under it, first because you would be a new poster, and second because there is a rule about having multiple user names. I understand that this is satire, but if it wanders off satire, like it has here in serious conversation, then the use of the would be inappropriate. Even as is, the last name in it does introduce politics into it, so it probably would be best to alter the last to something less accurate or recognizable, if not throwing it out completely. If you are not a current poster, then how about introducing yourself and tell us about your journey, as well as looking to see if you can find a more appropriate last name for the user name, ok?

i know a couple over 10,000. Both for more than two years.

Of course Todd has the 3200 PSA, here, and 7 years of survival. I know quite a few men that have lived long periods after 1000+ PSA's.

Best advice? Stay Positive. PSA is a number not a timer...
