Hi All!
I am the guy with high (22) PSA and a single core, T1C G-6 PCa. In my last post I was trying to weigh my options and was leaning towards Cyberknife, which almost no one here had.
The MRI confirmed my biopsy on lateral right and showed a similar anomaly on the left, only slightly bigger. That means we still don't know what caused my very high PSA but it most likely isn't PCa. No visible invasion, everything clear. Dr. Fuller, who will be treating me with Cyberknife in San Diego, is not worried about it and thinks that with what the MRI showed my PSA should be 3 or 5. One of those biochemical mysteries I guess.
My fiducials went in this morning. Then 2 more scans (with a catheter - ouch!) for the treatment plan and we are going to zap this thing July 5-8, providing my insurance does not mess this up (I am going there tomorrow to rattle some doors). 4 doses, 40 Gy's I think.
So, from DX (5/12) to treatment (7/5) - 8 weeks! Not too shabby, but again, the insurance people can throw a big wrench in the works here, as they sometimes do. Let's hope not though.
All in all, I am very relieved; with PSA this high it could have been much worse.
All the Best to all of You out there, and thanks for the great support I received on this site.
