The Boss,
I used petroleum jelly for a barrier Cream during the day.
Over the entire area covered by the pads.
Powder works especially well at night if you are mostly continent while reclined.
As Glen said, nothing dries the area like powder!
Just regular baby powder works fine.
I often used an anti-fungal powder - in addition to using an anti-fungal cream once a week.
More if you are itching when dry.
There are the three top brands of anti-fungal creams & powders:
1. Tinactin: The active ingredient is Tolnafte
2. Lamasil: The active ingredient is Terbinafine
3. Lotramin: The active ingredient is Miconazole
You can find most in generic and I found Tinactin Generic worked best for me - both in powder and cream.
You will be better soon!
