Help with ED please

Hi,
I saw my ED nure last week to go over the injection process (again)
because i only appear to be getting a decent reaction maybe one out of four times.
He mentioned that any nerve recovery is essentially over by the two year mark.
As I'm 4 months off that can any body suggest anything I havent done yet?

I use the pump daily, take cialis twice a week and use the injections once a week.

Your ED nurse may be right and nerve recovery may stop at two years; however, my ED seems to be improving and I am at 27 months.  It's a very slow improvement but an improvement none the less. I do not know if this is due to nerve recovery or if something else is going on. I'm still not back to full erections, without a pill or Trimix, but can get about half the way there without drugs.  I've heard from other guys who also reported ED improvement after 24 months.  Anyhow, don't give up at 24 months.

As to what else you can do; there are specialists who are experts in post prostatectomy ED recovery.  You may want to look into them.  They can run pressure tests, etc. on you and figure out exactly what causes your ED and recommend appropriate treatments.  I know that in Denver there is one of these doctors at TUCC. 

I've also read that some guys have tried acupuncture.

For my rehab I've stuck with the Levitra and/or Trimix. I mothballed the pump at about a year (From what I read the pump did not bring much fresh blood into the penis; therfore, it was good for an occasional good stretch but not much good for rehab).

142, I take a 10mg dose wed and a 20mg at the weekend.
Being in the UK we pay a nominal fee.

RCS and Jeff, glad to hear your still improving after the 2 year mark, gives me some hope.

I was just wondering, if you have your numbers from after surgery for the size of your prostate?

More than a few of us, who had very large prostates (70gm - 110gms ) have also had trouble with improvement of ED. Often not much at 2 or even 3 years out. Just anecdotal evidence from a selected group (and only those volunteering info), but we think we are on to something.

I don't mean to hi-jack your thread, but others with above former prostate sizes could also chime in if you are still having slow recoveries at 2+ years?

The reasoning (speculative) is that large prostates are a challenge to extract without damaging the nerves and also that large prostates often have been pressing against the nerve bundles for triggering the erection process and slowly damaging them even without the surgery doing them in for good.

On the injection side of things. I would say I am at near 100% effective with a Super Trimix dosage (strength is approx 50mcg/ml PGE-1 and minimal Pap and Phent). Can you tell us the strength of your prescription (if it even is Trimix -- which you did not say) and the units you are using? Have you varied the amount at all? Varied the area of injection? Sometimes little things matter.

See if you can get enough extra 20's to cut up in quarters for a daily dose. That might give you a stable daily base. Does something, not much, but something, for me.

I am at 27 months post surgery. I saw my uro at 24 months and he said there is still time for improvement. Although the healing is complete the nerves have been asleep for two years and it takes time for them to wake up. I have had more improvement the last 6 months then the previous 20. In fact this month I got my first quality erection from 20 mg of levitra, trimix was the only way I could before this month.  I have been on a low dose, a high dose and 1 injection of trimix per week.
