Got my one year post SRT PSA today - still <.1. Still having to pee 2-3 times a night. Other than that, radiation seems to have done the trick. Still having ED problem. Now if I only could get age related problems fixed - osteoarthritis in my right knee, bad hypertension, and tachycardia. Seems like you get one problem fixed and another arises.
Getting old is a real experience. Since I turn 65 this month, the military system has thrown me out to the mercy of Medicare (the "free medical care for life" promised for the 28 years I was in the Navy is a myth-Medicare has become my primary and Tricare for life is a free supplement). I am so glad that I got my PCa problem resolved while still able to get treated by the military. Here in Hawaii, the civilian doctors' first question is "What kind of insurance?". If it is Medicare, the answer is "we are not taking on any new patients." The nurse at my radoncologist is a civilian and told me her primary care doctor was declining Medicare patients. The medical system is really getting screwed up. And Obamacare is definately not the answer. Rant over! Squid.
