Yes, the catheter is out and the path report is pretty good other than GS upgraded to 7 (4 + 3). I expected to have an upgrade from the clinical but would have preferred a (3 + 4). Stay tuned for continence and ED updates in the coming weeks and months. I'm feeling way better than I ever anticipated. Just need to focus on not over doing it.

Life is good!!!! (other than the PCa journey). Now concerned for brother and son. Thank you all for the great support.

Looks like a good report. We'll be watching for the first PSA.

In the mean time, keep walking and get started on those Kegels - but don't overdo it, healing takes time.

Even if you should leak, don't skimp on the water - keep the system clean.

That's a pretty good jump from a Gleason 6 to a 7 with the 4 dominant as the first number. Glad to see the negative margins and the final staging. As we all know, take it slow and easy and let you body heal.

BD, glad you are well on the recovery side, your Gleason 7 will need to close watch, but hopefully you will do well long term. Good luck to you in the weeks/months ahead.

Not a bad path at all BD, and the upgraded Gleason supports your treatment decision. Heal up, get in that 0 club and keep us posted.

BD, good news so far, the upgrade is a bummer but not all that bad. PCa is one of the few things where an upgrade is unwelcome. I didn't have the upgrade but my tumor size and involvement, 60%, was larger than thought from the BX which verified my decision to date the robot too. Now we have to just sweat those future PSA tests. Hope to see you in the zero club with me soon. Take it easy but everyday will be better than the day before. yeah

That is a fairly good path. The upgrade to a 4+3 kind of sucks but now its time to just watch the PSA. Walk, Drink, Walk, Drink. Thanks then new healing at this point. Isn't it great to loose that rubber snake!

Sure made me a happy man. Give yourself time for the healing with leaking and ED. Don't get discouraged.

Startech - thank you for asking about my brother and son. My brother is six years older than me and has a low psa at 1.4, but his GP thought he felt a nodule this week so he sees the uro tomorrow. My son (22) is more of a future concern but at least he knows now what to watch for and I can advise him. Hopefully I'm the only poster boy in the family for PCa.

Can understand the concern on your son. I have two boys. My oldest is 34, and the younger is 28. PC has never been diagnosed in my family (doesn't mean it wasn't there of course). Both boys have promised to get a baseline PSA on their 35th birthday. Trust me, I will remind them when the time nears. I too, am hoping I am the odd man out here with the PC.

Really glad to hear you are feeling so well! While there are a lucky few, many men have their patience tested in the side-effect recovery process. It just takes time...but with time it gets better and better.

We have very similar path reports and similar ages, I am nearly 3 yrs down the track, and doing great. I will hold the torch for you, just keeping following and stay positive.

Well BD, best wishes and hopes for your son and brother. You are in a great position to help them if needed and show them by example that this fight is do-able.

Had a little scare when I saw a blood clot in my clear tube, but have not seen another since. I bought a blue bucket from wallyworld to carry my bag in. We even hot glued the handle in the up positon, so I would not have to bend over so far to pick it up. Whoever came up with the bucket idea, kudos to em. So yesterday, I kicked the bucket. Literally by accident. Scared us both, but the leg strap saved me. However, this morning when I awoke, there was fluid in the bucket instead of the bag. So, the bucket saved us a mess and new bag is on the way. The worse part has been gas and bowel movement pain, but other than that all good. Love my toilet seat riser.

The ex and I have been getting along great. She has been better than expected and I wont forget it. She cooked flounder for me to try, but I just could not choke it down. So she reheated some chicken and dumplins with a smile. Cath due out Tue next week with path results.

Keep on track BD, dont over do it. Looking forward to your updates.

Thank you for the well wishes. I did see your post on issues regarding blood clots and I'm glad to hear that it seems to be improving. I did not have any issues after the hospital with blood clots so I'm not much help in this area.

I know your concern about the catheter bag. When I was walking with the drawstring backpack, all I could envision was a kid running by me trying to steal my backpack and ripping my catheter out. Even though the catheter is now out, it makes me shiver when I think of it even now. I could have used a toilet seat riser!

I agree that the gas pain and lack of bowel movement was the worst part. By about day 5/6, things were working pretty close to normal for me. Keep on taking that stool softener.

I'm glad to hear the support from your ex-wife. My wife and daughter were awesome. I guess they really do love me.

Good luck with the rest of your recovery and stay in touch. Here's to the cath out and a great path report on Tues.

Wish I had the idea for using a bucket with my rubber snake would have been a whole lot more convenient.

Startech, I love most fish but Flounder is one that I can not choke down either do not know why it just has a funny smell and taste to me.

BD and Startech both of you  keep up the great recovery.
