The trimix compound will come to you in an insulated container and surounded by ice packs. It must be kept refrigerated or it will deteriorate. All Day chemist would not be able to get it to you in the proper condition due to the time and distance involved.

Trimix must be made by a compounding pharmacy that can get the product to you within 24 hours so it can be kept cold.

I had such a bad reaction to my first injection of Alprostadil at .2 ml that we decided to start the first trimix injection at .05 ml. It produced about a 60% erection. I have now worked up to .08 ml and the erection is about 90% and very usable but it is lasting for 3 hours and not very comfortable for me to say the least.

Also I dumped the 25 guage needles prescribed to me at first and bought the 31 guage. It sure did make a difference in the injection pain factor.

I have used Trimix for a nearly two years with great results using only .04 cc in a .5 cc diabetic syringe with a 5/16 inch 31 gauge needle. I take 50 mg Viagra (substitute) about and hour before the injection then use a little manual stimulation to get things started then inject. There is no pain or ache and the erection lasts for a couple of hours.

Of course all of us are different and in different stages of ED recovery so my formula might not work for you. I think it is important that we share our experience with all the ED meds.

My 5 ml bottle of Trimix has been badly abused. Using so little it lasts a long time past the expiration date and is still potent. Also I have left it out for a week at a time in 75 degrees and its still good. Refrigeration lowers the possibility of contamination but leaving it out doesn't reduce the effect.

Being 75 years old (soon) I probably will never regain a natural, unaided erection. I was using Levitra for years before I got cancer so its not surprising that I have an ED problem now. This is all fine with me because my undetectable PSAs for the last 2 1/2 years assure me that the cancer is gone. Also my wife and I have the best sex of our 54 years of marriage. The dry, multiple orgasms are great and now we have sex until we get tired instead of until I get finished.

I apologize if this post has TMI but its important to show those folks just coming on board that PCa treatment is not the end of the world, in fact it can make our sex life better...

Hey Fred,

If I was you, I would not take any other ED drugs before the first injection. My first injection was .1 cc and was WAY too much. I arrived at my combination of Viagra and Trimix after lots of experimentation and several very long duration erections. We are all different and have to experiment to find out what works for us. I use Viagra with Trimix because that way I can cut the Trimix dose way down. (.04 cc is only a few drops) When injecting drugs in my private parts, I feel that less is best...

My Dr told me not to take oral ED meds with the Trimix shot, not because it would cause excessively long erections, quite the opposite. The Oral meds would increase blood flow to the 2 cavernosa blood chambers of the penis, thus increasing the flush out rate of the Trimix.

Taking Viagra, Cialis or Levitra would likely result in a shorter erection when used with a Trimix Injection that if the Trimix were used alone

I had a reaction to my first injection at the Uro's office with 0.15 of #1. My blood pressure dropped to 49/26 with none of the desired effects. They gave me an IV.

The low BP could have been due to my fear of needles, but I prefer to think it was because so much blood moved to my massive member causing brain starvation. (The key word there is "prefer".)

I had been taking 5mg of Cialis per day. My Uro told me to stop the Cialis and try the Trimix again 2 weeks later in their clinic . That will be this Friday. Yikes.

Well, I guess I have to chime in with my nightmare with trimix. A few weeks ago at my Uro's office, he injected me with .20 ml (or is that cc?) of some low dose trimix. It barely took hold after 40 minutes and lasted at the 60% erection for only 10 minutes or so. He sent me home with a .25 and .30 dose and advised me to try the .25 dose and see how it works out and to call them and let them know. I waited until last Thursday (1/28) night to try it, figuring if things didn't work right, he would be in the office Friday to help me.

I injected at 9:40 p.m. and with in 10 minutes had a rock hard erection with a little pain. My girlfriend and I had our fun and after we were finished, the thing would not go away. Using "Saving your Sex Life after Prostate Cancer" as a reference, I took 4-30mg of Sudafed after two hours. Nothing happened. At 3 hours I called my Uro's office and the on call doc called me back pretty quickly and advised to ice it and if that didn't work, head to the emergency room. The ice didn't work, so off she and I go to the ER at 1 a.m. We sit until about 3 a.m. before the ER doc can see me. By this time I am worried about the tissue starting to die because of the lack of oxygen in the blood. He starts using syringes to withdraw blood while injecting the epinephrine solution. He got one side down and then the 2nd side down an hour later. I left at 5:30, bruised but intact and a limp penis. (The whole time I was in the exam room, my penis ached like hell).

Went home and caught a few hours sleep and called my Uro when I woke up. He said to stop in that afternoon. When he finally saw me, he said no more injections for me due to the priapism. It was only a fill in appointment, so I didn't really have time to discuss anything with him, so I will have to do at a later date.

My question is. If the .20 ml didn't work all that well in the office, why would the .25 go way over board and cause the priapism? Doesn't make any sense to me. I had no manual stimulation by my girlfriend, by the way, it just got hard on it's own. I really enjoyed the great erection and would like to continue the injections, but without the priapism. But that may be an uphill battle with him.

Anyone have any opinions on this?

Over the past 2 years, I have self-injected Trimix hundreds of times. So I have a lot of experience using the medication in varying doses and concentrations, as well as injection technique.

Without the correct injection technique, you do risk injury to your penis, whether temporary or permanent. Fortunately, I have never permanently injured my penis using Trimix, although I have frequently developed temporary and painful inflammation of the corpora casernova such that a small painful bump develops at the injection site. The bump lasts a couple of days and then goes away, but it's painful and there is a technique to avoid this kind of temporary injury.

The best technique I have found is to use a vacuum erection device (penis pump) prior to injecting Trimix. Doing so introduces blood into the corpora casernova, which produces an erection. You want to inject Trimix into a semi-erect penis, NOT into a flaccid penis. So to get a semi-erect penis, use the penis pump. Keep the tensioner ring (cock ring) at the base of the penis after you pump, then inject in either the 3 or 9 o'clock position. It's also very important that you apply an alcohol swab with finger pressure to the injection site immediately after injecting--and hold it there for 4-5 minutes. This will keep a bump from developing, as well as stop any minor bleeding from the injection site. After 4-5 minutes, discard the alcohol swab and remove the cock ring. By this time, you will have a very nice erection and one that is not painful. I also place a gel cock ring around the penis and testicles to keep the medication in the penis from back-flowing. This will enable you to keep a good erection for at least an hour. It also feels really good when you're having sex.

I have to say that Trimix and this particular injection technique has changed my sex life and view of ED. It's as if I'm 18 again. Yeah, I still have ED, but at least it's well treated and I can enjoy sex with my wife like we had in our younger days.
