Hi all,
My wife and I will be making a "bucket list" kind of trip next weekend, we're spending a week in Yellowstone NP. I hereby solemnly swear, I will not think about PC, ED, RP, IMRT nor any other prostate related acronym while I am there. I will watch geysers erupt, mud pots boil, waterfalls fall, rivers flow, trout rise, birds fly, elk bugle, wolves prowl, and grizzly's graze. I plan to use my prostate once or twice while there but otherwise will give it no thought. If I am eaten by a grizzly, perhaps that is a better way to go ( not that I am concerned mind you). Anyway, I will howl at the moon on my last night there, and then say a prayer for the cure.

It sounds as if you may have visited Yellowstone before. What a beautiful spot, and what a great getaway. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. We stayed in the hotel right by Old Faithful, and I would wander out front regularly to watch the eruptions. You have a terrific attitude. Have a great vacation. When we were there, I don't think there was any internet access, but drop a note if you can to let us know how it's going.

Just remember you will be on top of a super-volcano and it could blow any century now. It would be much more effective than the grizzly in ending your PCa. :-)

What a great spot to forget about everything but natire and beauty. Have a blast and bring home a buffalo.

Hey Dan0,

Have fun in Yellowstone.  You've picked one of the best times of the year to be there.  The animals will be making their way down (elk may be in town), trees up high might be starting to turn, and the number of visitors should be way down ... but it shouldn't be snowing.

My wife and I just got back from a trip to Yellowstone with stops on the way there at Sturgis, the Corn Palace, Devils Tower, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse. We trailered the Trike out (for those that don't know I was born without legs) and met up with a group. Rode all over the park for a week went to all the sites and to Cody to Buffalo Bills museum. On the way home went through the Grand Tetons and stoped at Jackson Hole. I was diagnosed at 49, had robotic surgery at 50, had 5-6 more procedures and caths for strictures (you know what I mean Dave) and was fixed the day after my 51st b-day. Just turned 54 and still zero PSA.  It was the trip of a lifetime and I am glad I did it. I told my wife it was now or never. I hope you enjoy your trip as much as I did! Kbars

Yellowstone and Teton National Park is in my back yard. In four easy hours we can be there. With all the snow and rain they had florabunda is awesome. Make sure to do the hike around Jenny lake over to the train to hidden falls (with the run off the falls are spectacular) and then keep hiking up to inspiration point. Either hike back to the lodge or take a quick boat ride to the marina.

The leaves are starting to change and it will be absolutely beautiful and serene. Like you said, leave all PCa at home and go seize the moment of the beauty of the creation.

I have been up there three times this year and will go once more before the snow flies. I can never get enough visual overload of the Tetons.

Kbars. We did that same trip last year. Just beautiful. This Cajun found it so beautiful that this past winter we went snow moiling across YS.

Dan hope that place gives you the same impression that it gave us.

We're back! and we had a wonderful time. We saw bison, elk, marmots, moose, pine martins, eagles, osprey's, geese, swans and too many chipmunks to count. The scenery was spectacular! Our favorite day was hiking Cascade Canyon beside Jenny Lake in the Grand Tetons. We want to go back soon. It was a sweet diversion.
