GFMPH #3 NY 2011 - T minius Two Days! 9/23,24,25

 

All packed, the squirrels and road kill are iced down and on my way to the airport in another hour and a half.

I am HERE!!! Finished early yesterday at NCI and hit traffic good. Packed up the homestead and headed North. Although I didn't want to get to Jeff's at 1:30am in the morning. So I found a Wal-Mart Supercenter about 25 miles from his house and tucked it in for the night.

I knew Jeff was an early riser so I got to his house about 8:30am. As I pulled up in front of the house, JamesC stepped out of his rv, coffee in hand and the ever present smile on his face. What a great greeting after a long night on the road.

The coach is parked, the water and electricity are connected, rv is leveled and the awning and chairs are out. LET THE FESTIVITIES BEGIN.

I will pick up Waterguy and 142 this evening at 5pm. I have seen Terry's post this morning and I don't know if the boy is going to make the trip without having a conniption.

Well I am at the airport and made it through security, but got some bad news. The TSA confiscated my squirrels and armadillo roadkill, something about transporting dead varmints in a carry on. I told them this is the south and it was my lunch, but they took them anyway. I bet some TSA agent and his family will be dinning on my road kill.

Sonny, is "conniption" what's running down my leg? If so I may have that fit.

Save me some beer and do not overflow the pee gravel before I get there.

Sonny, so glad you made it there safely, Jeannie and I were a bit concerned about you hauling butt that far into the night.

James C. , way to greet a PCa friend this morning. Wish I could have been there to drink a cup of Joe with you all. I had to settle for yesterday's brew that was in the Thermos.

Water Guy could not get the gray squirrels on the plane, huh. Guess you will have to shoot some NY critters for Dinner.

We are hoping that someone will fire up a yahoo web cam on Saturday, so the 2 of us can see and hear you all doing "Good (things) For Mens Prostate Health". We shall have on caps and T-shirts for the occasion.

Have fun you all, and know that Dallas & Jeannie are with you all in spirit as you celebrate life despite Prostate Cancer.

The RV's gassed up, cleaned out and ready. I'm just about ready. Leaving about 9:00 AM. Got a few hours of work to finish off before I leave and the rest of the weekend is free...

Looking forward to again seeing the guys/gals I've met and those I haven't... 

Hope everyone has a safe trip and I should pull in about 3:00.

Sigh....I'll be the cheese that stands alone. I'm gonna be the last one there, without a doubt. The first year i arrived at 11PM! I hope to beat that time considerably. Have a meeting in NYC in the AM, then I'll drive the six hours to Rochester! I draw my last sober breath three minutes after i arrive.  about that bail....
