This is embarrassing, I know I shouldn't be but I am.

Had my daVinci encounter 7/22/11. I'm still incontinent, using maybe 10 or so pads daily. There's no other way to put this so I'll just say it, there is a red ring around my Johnson that burns, it is Not herpes, I have that but this isn't herpes. I wonder if the constant contact with the pads is causing it. also had a UTI while my catheter was in. I am not complaining guys, the Lord has blessed me, I'm just a little concerned, this has been this way since surgery and I thought it would've been gone by now. Any help is appreciated. Hey Dawg,

Before my sling installation I was a diaper rash master. I went to CVS and bought both kinds of ointment: the white zinc oxide type and the yellow lanolin 15.5% and petrolatum 53.4%. I traded off every other day so the little buggers didn't have time to get used to either one. That method worked for me.

I also tried to air myself out as much as possible.
Good thing folks called before visiting. Yikes!

Cddawgs:
-as the others have said - no need to be embarrassed - being shy about what goes on below the belt is what got some of us in trouble with PCa (regarding testing, acknowledgement of problem , not the disease itself).
- my pad would get so wet I had water blisters on the head ( a north american version of "spotted dick") as well as redness - and zinc oxide worked great.
-I am drier now but there is still an occasional flareup so I have it on hand.
