I hate to get into this discussion, but ......

Trimix (did I spell it right- the injection for.....)

I am on a higher dose, it does take some experimentation to understand how this drug works on a very personal part of a man's life.

Anyone what to discuss its use with me?

 

for me it is very slow working- it takes me over an hour to get set, than another 1- 2 hours for cool down.

I can do the injection, but i wonder if sex is worth the pain and suffering now connected to it.

Prostate cancer can be very serious in the changes it leaves behind.

I have been following numerous threads dealing with the use of TriMix.  My onc is setting me up with and ED Specialist who deals with the use of TM.  Will keep you posted.

After 3 years of sporadic trying of Cialis and Viagra (best was a 80% erection with plenty of stimulation) I reluctantly agreed to trial injections. This is all 3 + years out from davinci surgery and reportedly nerves spared. BiMix was first tried and going up to the maximum dose it wasn't a full enough erection for intercourse. Trimix starting on low dose and building up has proved to be the one. Pain of injection is slight, thinking about doing it slightly greater but I have to say it's the deal. Great erection that feels good and full and lasts for the (safe) period you want, say 1.5 - 2 hours, more if you're some kind of bedroom athlete.

Don't be put off by the thought and with a good partner the spontaneity issue can be supplanted by some humour - you know, we can laugh at our issues!

I was thinking a 3 hr hard was unusual, but I see other men are having that reaction, too.  I am on the 2nd level of strength, and don't have the dosage set yet.  I last used .45 cc's in my last sringe.  Sunday mornings might be a good idea.  it jsut takes way too long with the response at night so that is out.  Sunday morning might work.

I am also have bleeding under the skin in spit of trying to be as careful as I can where the needle is placed.  I have discovered that I need to be close to the base of the shaft than towards the top.  there are some good training videos on you tude that are helpful. 

this has been just another of the embrassments along the way. 

There is the prostate cancer itself with its examines.

then the radiaiton and more exposure.

Then the  wetting clinic and the electric stimulation in the rectum

Then the scoping and clearing of scare tissue in the urthrea

then the AMS 800

Now I have a penis that is aobut 1/3 its original size and no longer responds like it used to. 

Injections are just one more after effect of the cancer. 

Good to stop once in awhile and remind myself that as a stage iv prostate patient, this is all better than dead.

though I will confess, especially when I was on the hormone therapy, I thought at times death couldn't be much worse.  the mood swings I had on the Eligard was terrible!!! 

For those getting inconsistent results, I would suggest a few office rubber bands or a VED ring around the base of the penis at injection time and for a few minutes afterwards. My theory is that it forces the trimix to hang around for a few minutes while it does some good.

I used this method while I was using bimix and got very consistent results.

B&D makes the one I have but I imagine there are others. You fill your syringe as normal but you then place it into the Inject Ease and put it at the spot you wish to inject, then just press a button and the needle injects itself, no jabbing. Then all you do is gently press in the medication. No guess work on the injection site, perfect aim every time, and it also serves as a way to transport the syringe safely

I am going to try the auto injector- why not?

The first RX i was on did very little for me- even at the full 1cm. That is a lot of med to inject into yourself and I still did not get a full erection. The doc changed the Rx to the next strength level and I have been trying to get some results from that. Seems like .45 may work if I can get the timing down.

I sometimes wonder if the needle is going to go all the way through. I have lost a lot of size since surgery and hormone therapy. and I think radiation did damage, too. maybe more than the surgery.

What is the exact written medication description on you vial, then we can see if its full or half strength

It is entirely possible you are injecting it right into the urethra vs one of two side chambers alongside it, which would account for why nothing is happening

That's a pretty good strength prescription for that batch.
The PGE-1 usually goes 10mcg ... 20mcg ... 30mcg and even 40mcg or more if you can get away with no ache. So you are now on the higher end of the scale. (The Pap and Phen can vary a bit but 30mg is normal and Phen is usually .5mg 1 mg or sometimes 2 mg).

Since it is the Pap that is the ingredient that can lead to more fibrosis (that could make a curve in your penis (peyronies) over time ) it is a good idea to get the highest PGE-1 that you can deal with (not too much ache or no ache) because that will mean a smaller amount per shot (PGE-1 is the main booster) and less Pap and Phen per shot (and a lot more shots per 5 ml vial).

James, helpful. maybe I am injecting wrong. I was more of a 10 o'clock/2 o'clock angle.

Also, by the time the erection is really coming on I do had a nice ache with it. I am going to work more on using the vac and ring before injecting.

I can't do a quick insert of the needle either. I slide it in very carefully and slowly. I hate the needle. Plan on trying the self injector very soon.

I have my inject-ease. I loaded it up last night with a used scringe to see how it works. Hit the release button and I can see how the shot would be in before you had time to chicken out.

I just do not like injecting myself in that part of my body. Tonight, I am going to try it for the first time on me.

Also, I have found that if you load the scringe and then let it sit out at room temp for an hour or so the med doesn't sting as much. Cold med injected into..... oh forget it.

tonight I plan on trying the injector. Sigh.

From a fellow trimix experimenter, good luck with your inject-ease. After my adventure the other night, I am back to the pump for a week or so before I try again.
