Rat poison?

I checked that online site many people here use and couldn't find any mention of VIPS. Maybe I wasn't looking in right place.

Maybe it was the rat poison in my overseas Viagra that killed my TW not the Davinci robot after all nono

I saw this live the other day on Fox News and also checked for the VIPS with no luck.

I can not wait until Viagra goes generic next spring to see all the drug manufacturers who have gotten rich selling ED drugs for 10 times or more their cost the last 10 years loose their shirts and bottom lines. My pharmacist told me he expects generic versions of Viagra will be selling in the US for the 3-$6 a pill range. smilewinkgrin

that's still too expensive and i'll bet it will be cheaper.  my copay is $7 a pill now.

I agree, consider the source of the report. You do need to be careful ordering overseas, but it's relatively easy to check on the legitimacy of the mail-order pharmacies. I travel to Thailand at least once a year and stock up on several of my meds (including Viagra) while I'm there. The pharmacies are well stocked and for the most part, no prescriptions are needed. I have pretty good insurance here in the States, but still save a small fortune.

Since most insurance like mine will not cover ED drugs $6 each is a bargain considering if I bought non generic now I would pay close to $25 EACH nono

Boys and Girls - you do know that everyone and their brother in third world counties make and sell drugs that humans shouldn't swallow... These meds are making their way into regular pharmacies here in the States...

Don't worry about the source of news etc... be concerned about the source of the meds..

Deplorable fear mongering. It is great that pharmaceutical companies develop new and better drugs, but that doesn't mean that anything goes with drug marketing.

Pfizer world headquarters in located in Manhattan, a couple of blocks from the UN headquarters. It's one of the companies that's not based in Switerzland. Maybe the Occupy Wallstreet movement could extend their scope to Occupy Pharma, and set up their new encampment there.

Not being judgemental, but buyer beware. I would be too paranoid to buy any meds from outside the US, that hasnt' passed by the FDA's eye's first. Yes, I know many meds are made in India and elsewhere, but I only want med from legitimate sources right here in the USA. You buy outside the US, and who is going to be responsible when something goes terribly wrong?

i get mine in India, but not via mail. I have someone who goes to the actual pharmacy and buys truckloads for me. No prescription needed. Even my mother in law brought some back for me.

I would hesitate to get online regardless of country of origin. But given prices in US would anyway in the end.

There is nothing dubious about Indian medicine, btw.

Not at all Steve. Perhaps it may have been more prudent of you to say that we should look at the reputation of the suppliers rather than condemn all drugs not made in the US (especially those that do not deliver very fat profits at the expense of a brain washed public).

Welcome to the new world order:

I flew in a single aisle commercial jet last month. Airplane made in Brazil. It didn't crash. I prefer Boeing, because my neighbors work there making 777's and 737's, but Boeing doesn't compete in the smaller commercial jet market.
Drive a Ford that's made in Mexico.
Eat grapes from Chile all the time.
Most of the parts in my laptop come from China.
Shoes from Vietnam.
Socks from China. Most of the world's socks come from "sock city" in southern China.

That's life. I wouldn't put anything in my mouth from China, if I can help it. But India is emerging as the world leader in drug manufacturing. Better get used to swallowing pills from India.

Sorry if I sounded like “the sky is falling” alarmist.

I’ve seen one too many 60 Minutes/Dateline type shows talking about fake drugs. It gets scary that the fake drugs are even making it onto the shelves of our favorite drug stores.

actually when i first got here i was amazed that so many old timers were willing to buy ED drugs manufactured in foreign countries despite the deep discounts. i figured if anyone would insist upon "buying american" it would be an old guy.

i was surprised today that a young buck was the one spreading the fear! you work for big pharma, David cool ?

I took that as kind of a slap in the face, personally. My position on out of country drugs applies to all meds, to me. My remark was addressing out of country meds in general, not ED drugs in particular. If I needed ED drugs, I would be in the same fix as other people, with my insurance not wanting to pay for any, or just few ED drugs. But in any event, if I needed ED drugs, I still wouldn't buy them out of country. I would be begging every doctor I know for samples, I would have to pay out of pocket for the meds, and might even have to change my sex life to accomodate the price of the meds, but I still wouldn't buy out of the country. There is too much to risk, in my opinion. We all have to make those kinds of risk assesments in our lives. I think your remark was out of line toward me.

Was in my local Wal Mart picking up my scrip for lisinopril (blood pressure) in a blister pack, I carefully peel off some of the pharmacy labels and found, Made in India printed on the pack.
