Just found out my DES drug (compounding drug) actually is in part or whole coming from Italy (per onco-docs revelation recently mentioned), might have to ask specifics next time. Perhaps this added to my getting very good effectiveness, outperformed ADT3 drugs.

Estrogenics can even kill off (some) hrpca cells via direct apoptosis, even when LHRH or casodex fails...see Journal of Urology Nov. 2003 article herein:

Estrogenics all act somewhat similarly comparatively, but may not be totally equatable as equals in total effectiveness, have read Journal articles mentioning such already.

An expensive option for you that is seemingly very effective in high risk scenarios:
Leukine+cytoxan+Celebrex (maybe even add Revlimid) Dr. Scholz PCRI seminar video 2011.  One guy in my PCa group here is doing this type of protocol through Dr. Scholz and claims little to no side effects and is past year 4 now with results on this, he is into year 14 fighting PCa.

I know you basically disregard things I say, that is ok, others read these replies also. Having done ADT3 for 2 yrs. and not doing ADT for 7-8 yrs., huge differences acknowledged first hand.

Thanks for sharing that type of comparitive estrogenic drugs and how they worked in your case is likely a valid consideration for patients to see that they are not all equals or interchangeable with results. I asked my onco-doc about the idea of switching to emcty and would it in fact perhaps perform differently than my current useages of DES (another one in this family of drugs), he said it may work differently and I thought so up front, too. The patches are perhaps better for lower stats type PCa patients, I don't know for certain, just saying perhaps and have a friend on patches right now and not getting fabulous results, but some results in using them.

Bjorn what can you say about side effects you have on estracyt/emcyt when taking them, tender boobs is not all that problematic I have that occassionally with DES useage and it has little to no side effects on me, otherwise. Is your drug paid for by Gov't health care thing or do you have to pay???? Like seeing your good results on it, Dr. Fred Lee has done exceptionally well using this drug, as you probably read or heard about. Appreciate hearing your information on it.

Jerry- vivelle is estradiol patch method and is not the same thing as emcyt/estracyt/estramustine as those are pill or capsule drug of an estrogenic nature, but not the same thing at all. As our friend mentioned the emcyt in his case far surpassed estradiol patches. You might ask Dr. Myers why not try emcyt in your case???? It will have more side effect possibilities, but might be worth a try, I am now thinking of trying the same in the future. DES is another one in this family line and also different from these others, it is a capsule compounded powder type drug 1-mg is typical size. Hope that helps you some.

It appears that Jerry has been prescribed a Vivelle product at a low dose and infrequent application (2x/week) for some other reason than direct interaction with the cancer cells. I presume that Myers is using this for bone strengthening or hot flash treatment.
