E.D. and 5mg. Cialis Daily

It is has been 3 years for me since I had a RP via a Da Vinci.  Since that time Mr. Happy had not been able to get, let alone sustain an erection.  I needed to see my regular Primary care Doc for a eye infection but he was out on vacation so I saw a alternate Doc which happened to be a young Asian female.  I was very uncomfortable when she asked me if I was still taking the ED meds.  I told her the 36 hour Cialis or Viagra or Levitra did not work for me.  She recommended that I try the 5mg. daily dose so I let her send a RX to my pharmacy.  After taking it for 2 or 3 days I was surprised that it woke up Rip Van Winkle from a 3 year slumber!  I can now get and sustain a full erection and have intercourse with my lovely wife.  Very interesting that the other ED meds would not work but the daily dose does.  I did have problems with back soreness and upper leg muscle soreness for about the first week to the point where I did not sleep well but that has cleared up for the most part.  Another surprise was I only had to pay my co-pay for the month's doseage, the insurance picked up the rest of the cost. 

I was wondering if I could cut the pills in half to try 2.5mg daily to see how that works out, any advice?

2.5mg is a valid daily dose, and under my insurance the coverage/cost is the same for all strengths (8 pills per month). I cut the 20mg pills in quarters for a +/- 5mg daily dose. Is there a value for you to do 2.5 instead of 5?

No value to using the smaller dosage other than to take less of the med...........

You could also try (either it works, or it doesn't) taking the 5 mg every other day. If it doesn't work, go back to daily, or if really organized, try morning one day and evening the day after (ie, a pill every day and a half) as a way to fine-tune the minimum effective dose.

After it's worked for a while (rehabilitation, ya know - give it a month at least), go off for a week or so to see if it's gotten the idea and can manage anything on its own or not.

I've been on it for rehabilitation since the catheter came out. Went steady for a month, currently playing with one every 3 days (insurance coverage is laughable - 4 pills per month, which will probably mean my copay is above the list price per pill - I'm stretching the sample packs from the doc and 30 days paid by Cialis with a coupon as far as I can, and hoping that will be all that's needed.)

I believe that when this blessed day comes to sustain a full erection, then it's a matter of psychological strength to stop slowly taking the pills (Cialis 5 mg each day dosage). turn
