reporting at 6am jan 11th for surgery

I'm going to dig up this thread to keep the forum posted on my pathology reports


so, far all I got from MDA was the report on Lymph Nodes


24 nodes removed and all are clear.........!

That's what I was expecting

I'm using 1-2 pads per day and nothing at night, sleeping with a towel just in case, bowel movement has been the only issue, even with stool softener, I'm having some problems with plumbing backing up. and the sensation in my rear end is totally different from what it was before RALP

I'm standing bye waiting for the path reports on the gland itself to see the clinical staging and final gleason score

I'm putting the biopsy report on here for new members education on these reports

Prostatic tissue, no tumor present.

PROSTATIC ADENOCARCINOMA, GLEASON SCORE 7 (3 + 4), 5.5 MM FOCUS.
Left lateral base (slides labeled H LV1, H LV2):
PROSTATIC ADENOCARCINOMA, GLEASON SCORE 7 (3 + 4), 4.0 MM FOCUS.
Left mid (slides labeled I LV1, I LV2):
PROSTATIC ADENOCARCINOMA, GLEASON SCORE 7 (3 + 4), 3.5 MM FOCUS.

FINALLY, got the pathology back from surgery, that was on Jan 11

organ contained
Gleason 7
clear margins
clear lymph nodes

should look like this on paper

T2a NO MO Gleason 7

that is unchanged from the clinical stage

Going Feb 20 for the 6 week PSA

I came through with what looks like the best possible outcome, pending this PSA test

I feel really bad for others that had more troublesome PCa outcomes. The chance of recurrence for me looks slim on the partain tables......I'm tickled pink for me , but I feel almost guilty, because so many others are traveling a rough and tiresome road in the battle against PCa

I would like to give you my encouragement to keep your chin up and stay strong, dig deep into your soul and find strength when you need it the most.
