Whose NW?

Been a Ginats fan since I started following football.

I think all sporting events should be between NY and Boston teams considering the drama involved and the fact that we always win. Great game.

I think that in 07 we beat you fair and square by being much more physical. This time I think it was a combination of luck and Eli coming through like only champions do at the very end when it counts.

Sad day in NE, congrats Giants on the win.

Maybe one of these years we'll get a defense that can prevent this from keep happening. We knew the game was over 4 minutes before it ended, it's been a recurring theme throughout the season.

No one is more obnoxious than NYC sport fans. No I'm not from Boston. It was a Superbowl where I didn't care if either team won. Too bad the Texans lost their QB.

Well I'm a New Yorker whos a Dallas fan but since jerry Jones will see to it they never become good again for a very long time my second best team are the New York teams...both the Jets and giants. Eli had a slow start to his career but the last 4 years he has gotten better every season and can now be labeled a hall of Fame QB.

I must say with out having the Saints to pull for we decided to go with the NY Since the QB daddy was a Saint. And you know the QB was a HS student in New Orleans. Too bad he went to College in Mississippi.


It was an intense game for sure.

I am perplexed. I love all sports but I cannot get my head around this one. I watched portions of this game. At the very end of the game the Giants scored. The player did this by sitting on his bum over the line. Commentators then said he did not want to score. As the team was behind with very little time to go why on earth would he not want to score and put his team ahead?

We beat ehm in 2007 and again yesterday. two out of two thereofre always. But you knoew that, right?

Billy - The were scared of giving the ball backl to Brady, the most lethal player in the league, wiht enought time left on the clock to win it.

With the Giants field position, they had (almost) a sure field goal. They wanted to run more of the clock so that when they scored NE would not have enough time left to score.

It worked out fine anyway.

I think the score at the time was 15-17. What would a field goal have given them? I am assuming it would be more than 2 points.

But it would have meant that NE would only have had to have gotten a field goal to win. By getting a touch down we forced New England to have to go for a touch down in 45 seconds which is much harder than going for a field goal.

NE was out of timeouts (or maybe had 1 left). I think the Giants could have waited, kicked a field goal, and left NE with just a few seconds on the clock.

In fact, that was their strategy (but the guy accidentally scored). NE strategy was to let the guy score.

Anyway, what a great game and a great end to the game...and this thread, I'd say!!!
