This is my first post but I've been reading for a year now. You guys have helped me without even knowing it. Just wanted to thank you all.

Hello and welcome. You are following the same treatment path as a good friend of mine. I'll see him Thursday at out support group mtg and I'll share your experience so far. Please keep us posted. Sounds like you are moving in a very positive direction.

Thanks for all of the responses. I was fortunate in that my Uro sat down with me and gave me all of the percentages of success between surgery and RT which were very close. When I asked about RT he said he new a very good R Onoc. that he could refer me to. The Uro and RO he was talking about were both 30 miles away. I was very familiar with and was very close to a cancer center only 4 blocks away. They had been there for 2 yrs and I am a Chaplin for the hospital and cancer center. The also had the Calypso that the other center didn't have. My Uro said that the percentages were higher with the Calypso and SE were less. He gave me the choice and said he would stick with me no matter what. So I chose RT. The RO also has 35 yrs experience with prostate cancer and the MO there has 30, both were with Mayo and are still connected. I knew everyone involved with my treatment and still see them 2-3 times per month. My MO also used the C word. He said about 98%. That may or may not be true but it sounded good at the time. The HT is interesting to say the least. I hate the shot every 6 month. They hurt for days, but if that's what it takes to beat this stuff then so be it. By the way, do I get to join the "0" club?
