anyone know of any free online version? I don´t have Excel, and not sure how to do timeline in an open office spreadsheet...

The only ones I have seen have been custom spreadsheets developed by individuals. Perhaps if any of them read this they may make their template available. It would be great to have.

All of my PSA tests are done at Bostwick and they report back to me in writing with a chart like you are seeking.

thanks JNF, I was about to send my dad´s samples for a second opinion, and am doing a "Summary" for the doctor. Seems like a chart would be much easier to read than 8 individual dates/values in a word format. And more PSA values will come, it won´t get any more legible...

I have a very simple Excel spreadsheet that I used to make a line graph. It's just three columns, date, PSA and a column for a "normal" level that just shows a reference point in the chart. Free PSA, PSA Velocity, etc. could be added but I don't currently have those stats. You could enter the info in Excel and then copy the chart into a Word doc.

Special Lady, since you mentioned that you don't have Excel...

For $2.99, buy some graph paper. As you recognize, the benefit of the visual graphic representation of dates/results is much better than the tabular version. And having a paper version of the graph (or a printout on paper, if you did have Excel) is valuable for dad to keep in his logbook and to take with him to upcoming doctor visits. If you use an online calculator, it's not so easy to take it with you.

Special Lady, if you don't find an alternative I can enter your dad's info and sent the chart as a .jpg to get you by for now (that is if you feel comfortable sending his info).

thank you Ron and Casey, graph paper....haven´t used one in ages, could be fun. I suppose there is nothing that automatically adjusts the graph based on the calendar date given. If one PSA reading was taken Jan. 26, and another April 4, and another June 15, this is not an equal 3-month split...anyway, thank you.

Special Lady, the small differences of days you mentioned are "splitting hairs" which would not be remotely significant.

Alternative: Excel costs about $150, or less.

Also, openOffice is an open software package that is available as a free download and there is a spreadsheet module that reads and writes Excel compatible files.

I would like to add that in excel you click on "file save as" and a dialogue box opens up. Just below where the file name is a pull down menu. Pull it down and at the very bottom it will save it as a openDocument Spreadsheet (*.ods) which can be opened by special lady.

Thank you guys, I used open Office, and hubby helped a bit with formatting, was able to set x-axis as "date" and split it into equal sections of 30 days. Close enough. Thanks again, good to know about free Google spreadsheets.
