Okay, guys,after 11 months post-op I am still in the strong grip of ED...pills don't help, vac device doesn't help, MUSE doesn't help...IF Mother Nature doesn't get on the ball and restore me to FULL sexual bonding with my beautiful wife within the next very few months I am about convinced to go ahead with having the 3-part inflatable penile implant procedure. Any comments, any personal experience would be greatly appreciated. I can't go ahead with a life full of disappointments, for me or for my wife....I guess I am grasping at "straws" and hope that this one ( the penile implant) will be the one that saves me!!!! I need help and input from all of you....thanks....JOE

Hi Joe

You did not mention if you have tried Bimix or TriMix.  There have been many many discussions of success with injections.  They are simple, painless and have worked for me for over four years.  if you haven't tried that therapy, you should before considering an implant.  Good Luck...

Working from the premise that you are alive (there is a book titled "Dead Men Don't Have Sex", which is very appropriate at this point), everything else is the "small stuff". Ouch, didn't intend that as a pun, but ...

Having had all nerves taken, I can understand to a degree. No wife/girlfriend here, and that said, things are problematic. I have experimented (and continue to experiment) with Trimix, which works, sometimes too well, in the quest to have something to offer when the relationships get to that point. Pity that shots don't fit into the profile of the perfect mate for some ladies. 

I have read that some doctors believe that continuing the pills, and alternate use of shots, encourages nerves to regrow, if they were only cut as opposed to totally removed.

There are a number of threads on Trimix here, so you may find some useful information.

Hi Joe,

As the previous Posts suggest, Trimix injections is an option you may wish to explore before deciding on a penile implant.

I can speak from personal experience about the penile implant.

I developed ED Post-Prostatectomy in February 2004 and pills, VED,

MUSE and injections did not work to my satisfaction.

Then, in December 2007 I underwent the Coloplast Titan Penile

Implant Procedure and, thankfully, it completely corrected my ED and restored both my sex life and the emotional intimacy with my wife of 45 years.

I'd wait till the two year mark before considering the implant.

Joe, my doc told me that in most cases, you will be where you end up at 2 years out from surgery. As Steve mentioned, you probably want to wait until then to consider the implant.

The implant (LGX model) ended up being the solution for me, and I am very happy with it so far. I would be happy to talk offline if you want to PM me on my experience with it. I have also posted here on the surgery and post-surgery recovery (search on "going bionic, need your prayers" - I think that was the thread name).
