Whats the meaning of your HW name?

O.K.( BOOGEE) here's our screen name  meaning.

Our last name is a derivitive of part of this word plus both of us LOVE to dance.

All the guys at work call my husband BOOGIE , so we spelled it this way for double meaning, our last name and boogie dancing.

BOOGEE GET IT!

At the time I was pretty interested in astronomy and wanted to pick a name that would come to mind easily, since I wasn't planning on coming back to the site that often (ha!). It was either going to be Kepler or Galileo. I think my first posts were urgent questions about whether or not I was having a recurrence after surgery. I was. And I found HealingWell immensely comforting and supportive throughout SRT and after.

Astronomy is an expensive hobby, though, and where I live the urban light pollution means you have to drive a long ways to find a dark sky. Throw in parental responsibilities and a realization that I really am a morning person rather than a night owl, and long story short, I sold my telescope and mostly go to bed right when most stargazers are gazing. I now prefer to get up early and head out on the bike while the rest of the house, and my former astronomy buddies, are asleep.

I still admire Galileo Galilei, and other pioneers of science.

Well for those that can't figure it out:

I am in the shop a lot.

The wood shop where I do scroll saw work, marquetry and cabinetry. It's a hobby.
:)

For a living do computer stuff - release engineering, you know with compilers, scripts and source control tools.
But mostly I'd rather be - you guessed it, In The Shop.

When I was in the USAF, I was a b-52 tail gunner, and I was born in 1959.

Mid-July, 2009 I was implanted with a Virtue sling without my consent. I had consented to an AdVance type sling that had an impressive history and was much less invasive than the Virtue sling.

The Virtue sling made my life a living Hell. I experienced months of intolerable pain. My pain was lessened by some degree when a portion of the Virtue sling was removed December 2009. I continue to suffer significant pain from the remaining Virtue sling mesh almost three years after the initial implant. To make matters worse, the Virtue implant procedure increased my incontinence from 1-2 pads per day to 4-5 pads per day.

At present, when I am seated, the Virtue sling mesh wrapped around my ramis bones produces pain like I am sitting on an imbedded steel cable. This results in the sensation of bruised and torn tissue in area surrounding the Virtue mesh. The pain now extends beyond the pelvic area.

The mesh under my ramis bones feels like it has migrated rearward. I am in the process of scheduling an appointment at the Mayo Clinic in hopes of having more of the Virtue sling mesh removed.

I also continue to suffer other pelvic pain that I attribute to the Virtue sling fiasco.

Near the completion of the December 2009 surgery, to remove the center section of the Virtue sling, an AdVance sling was implanted. It has been fantastic. I am now totally pad free following nine years of pad usage.

My initial surgeon told me to expect 7-10 days of discomfort. I certainly got my money worth on that one.

Bohemond -- a nephew of William the Conqueror. At the time of the First Crusade in 1095 Bohemond was already in the vicinity of Constantinople--pillaging and plundering--he was pretty much the leader of a medieval biker gang. He was captured by Alexis the emperor of Constantinople, whose daughter Anna wrote about him years later from her prison tower (where she was locked up by her brother -- imagine what Thanksgiving dinner was like at their house). It's clear from Anna's commentary that she had the hots for Bohemond.

Nickname dating back to high school........played a lot of golf then, and was pretty good, getting down to a 4 handicap-------putted like Palmer, and played with the same sort of abandon. Hence.....

all changed now, maybe I will change my name to "90%Hard" lol.

Bud, a fun topic indeed, and I do like the way you sneak your granddaughter´s name into the posts. :) The fact is, I am extremely non-creative when it comes to screen names (just look above this post for more talent), so this was the first thing I thought of. Whether I am "special" I have no idea, nor do I care, lol. All I care about is the health and happiness of my family, oh and the peaceful and just world, we gotta keep dreaming. My first name is Tatjana. Nice to meet you all. :)

I'm an old (ish) semi-pro photographer, but photography is just a side line that I do for fun. In real life I'm a pastry chef.

Girlfriend just reminded me that the real reason I use Oldphoto is because Olda**hole, while more fitting, wouldn't be excepted as a user name on most forums.   Gotta love a girl like that .
