My PSA continues to fall following Proton Therapy at Jacksonville Proton Therapy Institute. At 3 months it is now 1.2. You might conclude that I am now quite as "anxious" as I used to be and that would be correct.

Thanks, we are very happy with the new number. I ment to say not quite as anxious. So forgive me, I was so anxious to share some good news with my friends at HealingWell. Of course I won't ever get to zero (I still have some prostate left). But the closer I get the better it looks for being a cancer survivor. I appreciate all the kind words and thoughts sent my way from this forum. Best to all and low numbers as well.

Congrats on your continued decline in PSA. Hope it continues in it's downward spiral and bottoms out at the zero level.

Congratulations, that's a great reading for your treatment method. Hope it continues in that downward trend.

Congratulations!! I know exactly how you were feeling, and how you are feeling now. Based on what I have experienced so far, look for that psa to continue its downward drop.

Thanks for all the positive comments. Everyone is somewhat bias regarding what was right for them and this is sometimes projected into what they feel would be right for someone else. I couldn't say what might be right for anyone but I do know that PT was the right choice for me. I had strong support from family, my employer and my co-workers (many in the health care field). Not everyone has sick leave that allows them to take 6 to 7 weeks away from their job and not everyone has insurance that is willing to help. I will say that PT is worth considering. Find as many studies and opinions as you can. Good luck and thanks again for all the comments.
