1Yr Post Radical Surgery. things that I am thankful for and NOT!

One year post op I am extremely happy for great physicians, and 6 undectable psa tests.

One year post op I am not happy having to use twezzers to find what used to be a Mustang just to urinate ,& finding my self when shopping at the grocery story looking at the ball park hot dogs with envy!!! any way just a little light. Question is with RP is et ever possible to have an erection?

With your biopsy, your doc probably decided to "go wide" - you don't mention if he managed to spare the nerves or not - I would bet he did not. Although there are some here that have had non-nerve sparing surgeries and still manage to get erections without help, they are a very small minority. Many of us that had "nerve sparing" surgery nevertheless have troubles with ED. However, there are many treatments to help in that area - and you are probably very ripe to give them a go. Talk with your doc about what he recommends, but there are the pills, MUSE, vacuum erection device (VED pump), and if those don't work, injections (bimix or trimix or caverject) work very well for guys - even those that did not have their nerves spared. Finally, there is a penile implant surgery that many end up being very happy with. You have options, no need to miss having a sex life.

jerry, best news is about your zero psa test, getting the cancer is the most important part. sorry about the ED, have you tried everything out there - pills, injections, pump?

Jerry, can I borrow your tweezers? My doc had the nerve (hmm, not a good word) to say it was my imagination and I couldn't find little Willy because I had gained weight (I hadn't)! If the guy isn't going to be up front with me, I'm forced to take everything else he says with a grain of salt, and that's too bad. But your 6 months in the zero club is the most important factor. Congratulations!
