I had 40 Gy about six months ago. It's a grind, to be sure, especially since I had to drive 45 minutes each way to get zapped. But I *NEEDED* it, as an expanding tumor was growing into my bladder! I had virtually NO side effects except extreme fatigue (more lack of stamina---the least effort of motion had me breathing hard and "worn out" quickly).
At this early stage, you *MIGHT* be able to zap it all and be "cured". In my case the tumor was duly "de-bulked", but the Gleason 9 monster then jumped to my bones and now I am on Taxotere chemo.
