Friend dies of Prostate Cancer

At 3AM this morning, I lost a friend to PC, he was only diagnosed 2 years ago during a TURP, his psa before turp was never over 2, but path and scan showed he had already had cancer in his pelvic and shoulder area. After Lupron and Castration failed to shrink any spots, it was determined that nothing else could be done by his oncologist. (small town). He has been in much pain over the last year and has been on Morphine pump plus other meds for pain. We never heard him complain once about his pain, only from his wife. He was in church up until a month ago, even then he had to sit on a doughnut because of the pain. He was a sweet man and loved by all, his wife has now lost a son and husband to cancer over the last 6 years. I know they are together now, and if there is such a thing as golf in heaven, and knowing those 2, they are planning an outing sometime in the future.

We are on vacation, but are cutting it short to honor our friend and my brother in Christ and PC.

PC SUCKS

Ron, so sorry to hear about the death of your friend. PC is such an evil beast. May he R.I.P., and may his family and friends find comfort.
