Hijacking a thread is considered impolite and improper, and we have been known to edit, delete, and lock threads where it has happened. That is not being a "censor".
There is no objection to a simple "I did not find the book useful" if the subject were "what do you think of Walsh's book", but it isn't. There is a waiting list for the one copy I gave my local library, and I have never sent anyone there to look for it.
I don't worship Walsh, nor Scardino, nor Moyad, nor Cleveland Clinic, but I suggest that folks read all their books. My uro really dislikes Walsh - his complaint - there is so much information that the patient freezes, and refuses to make a decision, which allows the situation to get worse.
I work under the philosphy that if you understand the multiple sides of a question, you have a better chance of making an informed decision. If it were not for a copy of the Walsh book that was given to me at diagnosis by some friends, I would have simply said "hack away". We do grow up believing we should trust Policemen, Firemen, and Doctors. As it was, I did choose surgery, but only after a lot of questions generated by the book.
To apply full disclosure, I have met and talked to Scardino and Moyad, but not Walsh.
I'll hold off on the requested lock for now, but ...
