Doseages vary via the patient taking psa and T level and estrogen levels, monitoring tests, the low dose Mylan (transdermal) patches are .025 per patches, some guys end up wearing 2-4 patches for a number of days or a week and then change them again (with Vivelle might be 8-10 patche dots). The pluses is the method by passes going through the liver first like in using DES or emcyt type estrogenics (although that may not be as bad as you may think anyway), likely no side effects as many claim and safe and lower costs than LHRH drugs. Plus builds bone density and saves memory of which LHRH robs you of over time. Also, estradiol gels can even now be custom blended into a doseage level that would work best (have to find a compounding pharma), but one may have to figure out how to customize (this is new territory in PCa now), standard gel doseages have been around for a while.
You can buy this from Canada and they will ship anywhere for low charge, to USA is only $10 to ship. See website: www.northdrugstore.com for prices on various patches like: Vivelle, Climara, Mylan and others. They did sell emcyt awhile back, they do not sell DES for some reason. Here is some info on patches I will add here: Climara 12 patches 25mcg $75 in U.S. $$$ (example 'a') they have a dialogue box for you to type in drug or item you are looking for, so try estradiol patches and such.....they have many other choices and new choices now on other patch mfg.'s, lots of pricing and quantity choices too. Usually they have a clickon information thing to read all about
it and side effects and/or risks and details.
www.northdrugstore.com (and other Canadian pharmas do this also, ship anywhere with Rx)
Gel example here is: Divigel Gel .50mg 28sachets $45 (this is usually used in womens issues, so the info there reflects that), the standard spiel on clotting risks is this:
