I agree that "cured" is a pretty optimistic word, but it's good that your doc is using it. sounds like you're on a good path.
I wouldn't worry about the leakage. It's a horrible drag, but it really is normal. It can take a few months to clear up, although some guys are luckier than others. For some guys, it clears up gradually. In other cases, it can seem like there's no progress and then suddenly there's a big improvement. One way or another, it usually gets a lot better within about 2-4 months after surgery. Meanwhile, you'll figure out strategies to manage it.
Good luck and hang in there. Keep doing the kegels (but don't overdo them) and don't let this get you down. Things will get better before long.
