How can we help you if you are going to be so calm and sensible all the time?
That quote made me laugh a lot. Thanks. (Not much laughing from me in the last 24 hours since the diagnosis.) My profession is to analyze complex problems that involve lots of data, often under stressful conditions and time constraints. As you can see... I was born for this PC stuff (sad irony intended).
I'll definitely do the fitness challenge!
My PC diagnosis has actually motivated me to work-out harder - mostly because I expect that post-surgery (assuming I go that route) I will have serious restrictions on exercise for awhile.
For what it's worth... my workout regimen is: M/W/F weight lifting + abdominals + 20 mins of hard cardio. T/Th is hardcore cardio (i.e. today's grueling 60 minute dripping-sweat carlorie-torching spinning/cycling workout).
During my spinning/cycling workout today, I was actually imagining that each drip of sweat that was pouring from my face was one cancer cell leaving my body. (Of course, getting cured of cancer doesn't work like that, but it was a nice fantasy and helped me push harder in my workout.)
Again, I can't tell you how glad I am to have found this place.
