It has been 1 year this past Oct. 2012 since my husbands RP. Stats show his surgery was unsuccessful as there was tumor spread to his spine, although a small met, non the less it had metastasized. He was put on HT, Lupron,& casodex in Feb. 2012. His PSA had been undectable since March of 2012.
In Dec of 2012, we insisted on the ultasensitive psa which showed some antigens in his blood, psa was 0.126
We then deceided to see a new Oncol.
In Feb. 2013 the Dr. repeated all his scans and did a traditional psa, and to our surprise the tests were unremakable and his psa is <0.1
We were told he is in remission but will watch his PSA's quarterly!
He is now taking a holiday from the HT. Hopefully for a long while!
