Just picked up my latest PSA test results on-line ... <0.02!
That's 3 in a row since RALP. I'm loving it!

outstanding. i don't even know why they include EPE when margins are negative. wouldn't negative margins neutralize the pathological significance of EPE

Excellent! Keep up the good work.
One of these days I'm gonna come to collect on all these drinks.

i couldn't find any statistics on EPE and outcome.
i'm in the same boat as Upstate guy with neg margins but EPE.
maybe someone else has some info but hopefully there is someone collecting this data.
it boils down to whether you think PCA is locally invasive (spreads outward), or can metastasize early (jump outside of prostate).
probably has much to do with Gleason score, the higher the score, the more aggressive the tumor and the more likely to metastasize early.
breast cancer was once thought to be a localized cancer. now we know it spreads early, hence chemo and/or rad rx for most.
congrats!!

Thanks everyone!
Re: epe and negative margins ... note that it's negative margins on the surgical specimen, not the prostate capsule. But, so far so good. Looks like my urologist took a wide enough cut!
